Next-Gen Mobility – AI as the Engine of Intelligent Transportation
From predictive maintenance to passenger behavior analytics, AI is at the core of transportation innovation. This session looks at how AI enables seamless, safe, and sustainable mobility across borders—transforming public transport, logistics, and urban planning. Mobility is more than movement—it’s the interface between data, infrastructure, and societal needs.
Presentations:
AI-Assisted Robust Multi-Sensor Localization
A both accurate and robust localization is required for many applications. Today’s performance of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) with camera or LiDAR data is degraded by surrounding moving objects.
To overcome this issue, an AI-based detection of moving objects is presented and used to remove related Lidar points/ camera pixels for an Enhanced SLAM Performance. Moreover, an AI-based jamming detection is presented for removing interfered GNSS data from the sensor fusion.
