Arne Rönnau studied electrical engineering at KIT with a focus on control and robotics. Since 2011, he is the department manager of the robotics department at FZI.
In 2019, Arne Rönnau finished his PhD at KIT at the Computer Science Faculty. His topic was „Model-based design and optimization of multi-legged walking robots“.
His research focuses on open source software, especially ROS, human-robot collaboration, design of innovative service robotics applications, and AI. Arne Rönnau is coordinator of the BMWK project GANResilRob and speaker of the BMBF Transfer Center “RimA – Robots in Everyday Life” and leads many other national robotics and AI projects.
