Dr. Hannes Sieling is a Senior Project Manager, Product Development with Blue Yonder, a leading digital supply chain platform provider. His role is within Blue Yonder’s Data Science team, based in Germany. He has been part of the team for six years applying artificial intelligence (AI) to business problems in retail.
He joined Blue Yonder GmBH in 2014 as a data scientist (Blue Yonder GmBH was acquired by then JDA Software in 2018 and changed its name to Blue Yonder in 2020). Prior to joining the company, Hannes earned his diploma in Economical Mathematics followed by his PhD in Applied Statistics both from the University of Göttingen in Germany.
At Blue Yonder, he has focused on the development and retail application of AI-enabled algorithms to support decision-making processes. One of the highlights of Hannes’ career was being part of the development of Blue Yonder’s cloud-based pricing solution and its implementation at several European omni-channel retailers.
