Stéphane Canu received the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics science from the University of Technology of Compiègne. Founder of the Computer Science department at INSA in Rouen Normandy. He is now Professor at INSA Rouen Normandy and a member of the LITIS Research Laboratory. He has been doing research for 35 years in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science. He is the author of more than one hundred scientific articles. He coordinates an ANR-funded Chaire IA and the Deep in France research grant. He was nominated by the “Usine Nouvelle” magazine among „the 100 Frenchmen who count in AI“. He is now AI advisor to the French Ministry of Research.
